The alumni association of the Department of Earth Resources Engineering and of the Department of Material Science and Engineering (formerly, Department of Mining and Department of Metallurgy, espectively) of Kyushu University has been named as “Koinkai”, and it was established in 1914. The total number of alumni members is in excess of 4,000. General assembly meeting is held annually, in addition to the bi-annual publication of the “Alumni Bulletin of Departments of Mining and Metallurgy” as well as bi-annual publication of the directory of members.
